EDUGAIMS is an unique platform for delivering Simulation based education online.

We are based out of Oxford, UK. Our team has over two decades of experience in frontline clinical practice & healthcare education from different countries. We believe education should be fun, relevant and that enhances human capabilities.

EDUGAIMS is acronymed for Expert Driven – Uniquely Guided – Audio Immersive – Mental Simulation. Our technique maximises impact on the learner enhancing knowledge, skills and confidence while reducing both effort and time to achieve it. It transcends you to where you are to where you have to be. It enhances your learning and makes you prepared for what is yet to come.

We collaborate with Subject matter experts to create training modules that blend expertise with evidence to align the learner with best practices – be it exams or real life.

Our mission is to enhance capabilities of frontline healthcare workers by bringing benefits of top expertise and hi-fidelity simulation education to those who need it, whenever they need it.

EDUGAIMS Modules are inspired by real life experiences and developed by Subject matter experts with deep understanding of dealing with the situation. They are peer reviewed for evidence and references.

The Guidance in the modules is uniquely tailored to meet the needs of the target audience and achieve desired learning outcomes. It is learner centric and applies core simulation educational principles.

Audio Immersive

The modules are designed from a first person perspective to give you the feeling of ‘being in the situation’. Clinically relevant and realistic sound effects make it immersive and enhance the ‘realism’ of the simulation.

Dr. Akshay Bhargav

(MBBS, DEM, FRCEM, CHSE) - Founder and Director

An Emergency Physician, author and Simulation Educator. He was the first Simulation Fellows at the Oxford University Hospitals A&E department and led one of the largest Simulation labs in India and has trained thousands of healthcare professionals applying different modalities of simulation.

Why is it called EDUGAIMS? What’s unique about it?

EDUGAIMS stands for Expert-Driven, Uniquely Guided Audio-Immersive Mental Simulation—learning modules created by experts that place you in realistic, first-person scenarios to mentally rehearse situations with audio guidance and improve decision-making, confidence, and performance.This technique is grounded in educational principles and evidence backed. The uniqueness of EDUGAIMS is that its modules are built on real human stories that have the potential to inspire other humans.

What is mental simulation and why are peoples eyes closed?

Mental simulation involves rehearsing future actions or events in the mind to enhance performance, confidence, and emotional control – Widely used by top professionals to prepare for high-stakes situations. What problem are we trying to solve?

Simulation based education (SBE) impacts learners in multiple ways enhancing their knowledge, skills and confidence. However, Quality SBE is expensive and infrequent. EDUGAIMS bridges that gap by providing the benefits of SBE which can be accessed by learners – whenever they need it, wherever they need it. Our users reported they would use it for examinations and real life situations.

The other important element is being expert driven. Our modules bring human stories to life and bring the guidance from top experts to learners in need.

I’m here to learn - How do I access EDUGAIMS?

You can access our free research after signing up. Once you are logged in you will be able to use the learner management system. The modules will have a scenario, prebriefing with a video, Simulation audio (best appreciated with headphones and eyes closed) followed by debriefing and chance to download and share a certificate.
